On Tuesday 10th June's BBC Radio Lancs breakfast show featured an interview about our debt help centre.

As part of a days focus on debt, Jill and Lisa were interview by Graham Liver on BBC Radio Lancashire's breakfast show.

Jill Jackson (Debt Help Centre Manager) confirmed findings of a recent BBC report that said people struggling with debt often don't know where to ask for help and don't know there's help out there. Jill said 61% of CAP clients take a year or more to get in touch and ask for help. Debt causes isolation and depression and makes it difficult to ask for help. Jill explained a little of how Christians Against Poverty's Debt Help works and how there is a solution and hope for everyone, no matter what your debts.

Graham Liver, then asked Lisa about her story and how getting into debt affected her, her husband and three young children. Lisa was brave and really honest in explaining the impact debt had on them as a family in terms of stress and worry. When Graham asked Lisa "So how are you now?" this was the reply:

"I feel amazing, knowing I'm debt free. I'd advise any one struggling to make payments to get in touch with CAP."
